- Technology: Conventional Extended Aeration plus FENTON reaction physical chemical treatment
- Client: Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ)
- Scope of Work: Engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start- up of a new 55,000 m3/day Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project also entails the upgrading of equipment of Stages I & II (60,000m3/day). Systems and technologies used to treat the influent : Primary Treatment: Odor Control, Primary lamella Separator, Equalization tank, Biological Treatment: Extended Aeration by Fines Bubbles Diffusion for nitrification de-nitrification, Dissolved Air Flotation Clarifiers - DAF’s, Physical Chemical Treatment: Fenton Reaction Clarifier Tanks, Chemical Injection Systems Tertiary Treatment: Multi Media Filters, GAC Filters and Chlorination System. The treated effluent is in compliance with the Royal Commission for Yanbu and Jubail water quality standards and used for irrigation purposes within the area of Jubail Industrial City or directly discharged to the sea.
